Residents were going about their day as usual on Sunday -- grocery shopping, going to church and the like -- as the skies mysteriously turned bright red in El Salvador. Not knowing what could be causing the phenomenon, many spectators panicked, thinking it must surely be a sign of the Apocalypse.
Depending on which sermon you just listened to, exiting church and discovering the skies are blood red would certainly be an alarming sight. Apparently, the ominous hue had to do with a rare meteor shower passing through the area -- an occurrence that's totally harmless.
