Woman Has Perfect Response To People Body-Shaming Her Engagement Photos

by Leah Degrazia

It pains the innermost part of my soul to be writing an article about body-shaming for the 1,000,000,000th time.

Like, did no one else ever learn the most common, basic rules of social interaction, like, "Treat others how you wish to be treated," "Everyone's beautiful in his or her own way," "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all" and all that other stuff?

Is it really that hard to just not comment on someone's ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS if you're not going to say "congratulations," "awwww" or anything in between?

Well, apparently, it is that hard because ever since Mzznaki Tetteh, a nurse from Accra, Ghana, and her fiancé, Kojo Amoah, posted their absolutely lovely engagement photos to Instagram, trolls have been coming out of the woodwork to leave negative comments about Tetteh's weight.

Tetteh shared the photos of her and her fiancé a week ago.

Any sane person can see these engagement photos are beautiful and document the loving relationship between a soon-to-be-married couple.

But apparently, (horrible) people have been going as far as posting her Instagram photos to Twitter with negative comments about Tetteh and Amoah.

These aren't your photos, people! You can't just do with them what you want -- especially if it's that.

Luckily, Tekkeh is an angel sent from above and a badass woman all rolled into one because the amazing nurse responded to all the criticism with one epic, I-don't-care-about-the-haters Instagram post.

Tekkeh wrote in the caption,

Still confident... your rubbish comments ain't ruining my happiness... thanks to all for the compliments and best wishes... am honoured.

That's definitely how you handle all the haters -- one short, sweet, badass Instagram post.

Tekkeh didn't let the haters get her down, and as a result, a swarm of people came to her defense, eager to support her reaction. The Ghana native now has more than 28,000 loyal followers who believe in what she stands for.

Take notes people, and you go, Mzznaki!
