Racism in Euro-League soccer has been well documented over the past few years, but in a recent display of unity and progressiveness, AC Milan players left the field after hearing racist chants.

Kevin-Prince Boateng, of Ghanaian descent was the recipient of the racist chants. He kicked the ball at fans and left the field in disgust after 25 minutes.

The rest of his team joined him, and the game was cancelled. Let’s hope that European soccer fans finally get the message. Racism isn’t a good look.

Other players like Mario Balotelli have been targets of racial chants as well. Balotelli, who is black and Italian, was a target of the chants even in his home country. More players should walk off the field.
