Anquan Boldin Will Retire If The Ravens Cut Him
Anquan Boldin went beast mode this post-season racking up 380 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns to help lead his team to Super Bowl glory.
However the 32-year-old Boldin , who is Joe Flacco’s favorite target, may have to consider leaving the game he loves if the Ravens fail to retain him.
Anquan is a 10-year veteran who has proven his worth by helping two different teams, through the course of his career (Ravens and Cardinals), reach the Super Bowl.
He appeared on the Jim Rome Show on Friday and admitted his love for Baltimore and his desire to retire there
“I love the organization, love the fan base, love the team, I’m not playing anywhere else.”
However Boldin who carries a $7.5 million cap hit into 2013 could become another casualty of the Ravens looking to clear cap space. If Boldin does get cut by the Ravens, he says that he will retire from the league.
“I definitely expect to be back,” said Boldin. “I have another year left on my deal. I’ll have to retire a Raven. That’s just the way it is.”
This wouldn’t exactly be a bad way to go out and he could join his teammate Ray Lewis in retiring in top. Boldin has recorded 772 receptions for 10,165 yards and 58 touchdowns in his 10-year career.
