In what has been an offseason of solid moves and strategic acquisitions, the Detroit Pistons are looking to continue their streak by signing… Jason Collins? The sub-par, openly gay 7-foot forward may be past his prime (whenever that was), however that’s not stopping teams from calling.

According to Ramona Shelburne and Marc Stein from ESPN, the Pistons have expressed interest in signing the free agent to bolster up their already beefy (pause) frontcourt this 2013 season.

Collins is of course the first openly gay athlete to come out in major American sports as this return would be his first to the league since his admission. With big men like Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond and Josh Smith already in the line up, he will surely have more of an end-of-the-bench mentorship role with the team.

The only question left is can he still play?

There’s nothing more stressful than trying to refill a MetroCard during rush hour, and nothing more frustrating than watching someone do it. The Affluenza Defense: When You’re Simply Too Rich To Go To Jail

The air had turned crisp and cool in North Texas, a welcome reprieve from months of oppressive heat that earned the summer of 2011 the distinction of being the hottest on record. Freshly fallen leaves speckled the quiet streets of Fort Worth and the final remnants of twilight’s soft glow had long since faded. A […]
