Carolina Panthers’ QB Cam Newton is currently taking classes at Auburn to earn his degree. Let us re-phrase that: a huge football star is attending classes with regular people on a day to day basis this semester.

So, you can imagine the amount of attention Cam gets from the students, especially of the female variety. Rachel Gilmore, a Phi Mu at Auburn, formally asked him to be her date at her sorority’s upcoming formal.

Pretty tall order, right? Aside from the obvious methods, what could she possibly do to proposition him to say yes?

Rachel hired a group of people from the Wesley Foundation (what these people do we have no idea) to serenade Newton in the middle of class on Valentine’s Day.

“We found Cam’s class at 12:30 then asked the teacher if it was OK,” said freshman Avery Ginn who played the guitar on the short version of “My Girl” (changed to “My Guy”).

Apparently the group had to clear it with his bodyguards, too, who were waiting for Newton just outside the door.

“They were actually kind of on the fence about it, but it went really well,” said Tomi Obebe, who handled the main vocals “shaking the whole time.”

As for Newton’s reaction, “he loved it,” Ginn said. “He was a little stunned but he got really into it.”

Here’s a video of the entire song:

And you’re probably thinking that if this girl thinks she can have a professional football player as her arm candy, she’s got to be scalding hot. We’ll leave that judgment up to you:

Everything Wrong With The World: Australian Teen Says He’s The Next Paris Hilton (Photos)

This 17-year-old  likens himself to an Australian Paris Hilton… which makes total sense, since he’s “famous” for doing absolutely nothing. Kurt Coleman’s biggest fan is himself, although he has amassed over 170,000 followers on Facebook and nearly 85,000 on Instagram. As obnoxious as he sounds, Coleman is perhaps best known for taking “selfies 24/7″ because, why […]

They Just Don’t Make Men Like They Used To…

I love men. I love how they smell and the veins in their forearms. I love their deep voices and their neckties. I love how they protect their women and take care of their family. I love how they write love letters and walk you to your side of the car door. I love how […]

Amen! These Dogs In China Say A Prayer Before Every Meal (Video)

I’d never thought I’d say this, but the dogs praying wasn’t even the most impressive part of the video for me. Obviously it’s not every day that you see four dogs simultaneously bow their heads in preparation for dinner, but it’s also not every day you see dogs clean up after themselves when they’re done […]

The American People Want To Give Alaska And Sarah Palin Back To Russia

Over 20,000 people have signed a nearly unintelligible petition for the Obama administration to give Alaska back to Russia. It’s called “Alaska Back to Russia,” KTUU-2 reports, and it was created by an unnamed Anchorage resident last Thursday. It took just four days for approximately 24,000 people from several states to sign the petition, which […]
