Brandon Jacobs Tried To Get The 49ers To Cut Him And Failed Miserably

Did you ever hate your job so much you that purposefully tried to get yourself fired? San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs recently put in a pretty good effort to get cut by the team.

He went on an Instagram/Twitter rant where he talked about “rotting away” on the Niners bench in the hopes that it’d encourage them to cut him from the team.

Little did Jacobs know the 49ers front office was smarter than that, so rather than cut him with just three games remaining in the 2012-13 NFL season, they decided to suspend him for the rest of the year.

Jacobs might have a hard time finding work next season after a terrible year on and off the field in San Fran.
