Two years ago, Cam Newton left Auburn to become the first overall pick in the NFL draft. Now Newton has returned to become a college graduate.

Newton is enrolled at Auburn for spring semester and is working on a sociology degree.

Auburn spokesman Kirk Sampson confirmed to the Associated Press that Newton is currently enrolled as a student, but he said Newton isn’t giving media interviews and just “wants to focus on school and be a normal student.”

After beginning his college career at Florida as Tim Tebow’s backup in 2007 and 2008, Newton transferred to Blinn College for one year and then transferred to Auburn, where he won the national championship and the Heisman Trophy in his one season as an NCAA starter.

4 Reasons To Keep The Faith That This Season Of ‘Homeland’ Won’t Suck

Okay, okay, so “Homeland” was truly awful for the entire third season (and if we’re being honest, for most of the second season, too). Canada Took US Media To School By The Way Ottawa Shootings Were Handled

Drunk Dictionary: 10 Texts You Send That Prove You Shouldn’t Own A Phone

“I really am glad I sent that drunk text last night!” – said no one, ever. Drunk texting is like binging on McDonald’s in the airport: It seems like a good idea at the time, and then you really hate yourself after. And yet, because alcohol is our secretly-evil-Regina-George-best-friend telling us it will all end […]
