Chris Paul Becomes Youngest Player To Get 5,000 Assists

Chris Paul is the true definition of a team leader and he has proved this ever since he entered the league. So it is fitting that Tuesday night in a contest against his former team, the Hornets, he shined.

After a 12-assist output he surpassed the 5,000 assist mark and became the youngest to ever do it. The reason the Clippers are on an 11 game winning streak can be accredited to no one else but Paul and his excellent play.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, CP3 is the fifth-fastest player in NBA history to reach 5,000 assists. Only Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, John Stockton and Isiah Thomas did it faster.
