Lamar Odom has been a huge disappointment ever since he was traded from the Lakers. Last year, his season ended with the Dallas Mavericks keeping him away from the team.

So far this year, he hasn’t been much more productive off the bench for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Much has been made of why Odom has been struggling so bad. He’s definitely out of shape, but there are plenty of other factors that people throw into the equation when speculating. It doesn’t help that he’s not getting any younger.

Head coach Vinny Del Negro at least knows where Odom needs to start: losing weight. Via The Daily News:

Odom went into the game averaging 1.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 12.3 minutes, microscopic numbers for a player who was the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year while with the Lakers in 2010-11.

“I’m just trying to keep him engaged,” Del Negro said. “He knows he needs to play better. He’s lost some weight. He needs to lose more. I’m going to stick with him because in the long run he can give us something we need.”

You would think that people who get paid a lot of money to be professional athletes would at least be able to maintain their weight, right?

It looks more and more like Lamar Odom’s time is running up. When on his game, Odom is one of the most versatile players in the league, and is a huge asset. But, for now, he’s a far cry from that.

What The Cast Of ‘Friends’ Would Look Like In This Generation

One of the great strengths of the sitcom “Friends” was that its ensemble cast represented six very familiar categories of people: the geeky one, the prom queen, the control freak, the kooky one, the player and the funny one. Viewers felt close to the characters because they could see themselves fitting in to one of the six […]

Non-Religious Guy Installs Buddha Statue In Neighborhood And Crime Drops 82 Percent

Buddha is bringing peace to Oakland, CA. In 2009, Dan Stevenson installed a 2-foot-tall Buddha statue in the median of a residential street near his house. The statue, purchased at a local home goods store, was merely a gesture of goodwill; Stevenson isn’t religious. But Buddha’s blessing seemed to descend upon the dirty, drug-ridden neighborhood. SFGate […]
