Are The Clippers Seriously Trying To Trade For Kevin Garnett?

Multiple reports have surfaced that the Clippers are actively trying to acquire Kevin Garnett from the Celtics. This comes during a time of great turmoil for Boston after losing all-star point guard Rajon Rondo and rookie forward Jared Sullinger for the season.

It is apparent that changes need to be made, but to what extreme will management take to get the Celtics back to the top of the eastern conference?

Previously Paul Pierce’s name was coming up in many trade rumors involving Rudy Gay and even the Lakers. Now KG faces some of the same scrutiny as Boston looks to fix its aging squad.

Garnett has a no-trade clause in his contract, and would have to agree to waive it in order to make a deal happen. The crux of an offer for KG, according to sources, would be based around second-year guard Eric Bledsoe and veteran wing Caron Butler.

It will be interesting to see what will happen in the next couple of weeks before the February 21st trade deadline. Apparently everyone on the Celtics is now expendable.
