Delonte West Might Have Just Admitted He Had Sex With LeBron's Mom

A lot of things plagued LeBron's career when he first started off in Cleveland. Not winning a ring in seven years was one, and immature as it sounds, his receding hairline was another.

Now that he's overcome both, there's just one more thing that he needs to come to terms with: The rumor that his former teammate Delonte West was sleeping around with LeBron's mother.

While it's not exactly clear how these allegations even came to fruition, it's just become an unspoken fact every player in the league and fan watching the game has come to believe.

But concrete evidence might have just emerged during West's sit down with Vice Sports. The 31-year-old free agent inadvertently brought up the topic of Gloria James in conversation when he explained why he didn't name his son Delonte West, Jr.

His middle name is Delonte, but I didn’t want to name him Delonte West, Jr. just because of that. I don’t want my son going to school and people making fun of him for something his daddy did. He goin’ to school and ‘didn’t your daddy have sex with LeBron’s mamma?’ I don’t want him to deal with all that man.

"Something his daddy did" sounds like daddy might have done it. While he didn't directly admit it, his casual tone pretty much confirms what everyone has believed all along.

However, he did do some back pedaling and offered some insight for not only his son, but for everyone who likes to start rumors of this type.

If we want to continue to grow as a human race, what are we teaching our kids if we try to make humor and fun out of stuff like that? Number one, something like that never happened. I don’t know where they got that from. For a strong black woman like that, for people to try to tear her down, that’s terrible. That’s terrible in so many ways.
