Dwight Howard Accusing Opponents Of Targeting His Bad Arm

In spite of his shoulder injury, Dwight Howard continues to play with the Lakers in hopes of keeping the team in the playoffs.

As if playing with a torn labrum is bad enough — Howard is now claiming that his opponents are targeting his arm early on in the game leaving him in pain for the remainder of his time on court.

After the Lakers lost to the Heat on Sunday, Howards told Yahoo!’s Eric Adelson that the heat was targeting his shoulder on purpose.

“They got me early. They would yank it back… It’s like a jolt,” he explained. “Then it hurts the rest of the night.”

While watching the game it is visible that players were grabbing Howards arm and shoulder, but it is unclear whether or not it was intentionally done in order to get him off the court. Fouls like these are commonplace in the NBA.
