Clearly, Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard isn’t exactly the greatest shooter of all-time but when you lose a shooting contest to a mascot, it’s pretty embarassing.
After the Los Angeles Lakers shootaround on Wednesday, the LA Kings mascot “Bailey” was hanging out and decided to challenge D-12 to a shooting contest.
Here are the details from ESPN’s Dave McMenamin and as a preface, a costumed Bailey had beaten Howard on a side court in a shooting contest moments before it got epic:
Dwight said it didn’t count unless it was on the main court. So Bailey beat him at free throws on the main court. Then Dwight moved the contest out to the NBA 3-point line. They shot 3s from the corner and Bailey, a man standing about 5-10 wearing a lion costume, beat Howard, a man standing 6-9 and wearing his basketball practice uniform and sneakers as the first person to make five 3s.
