Fan Starts Crowd Funding Campaign To Raise $1 Million To Get LeBron To Join Dunk Contest

A lot of people are puzzled as to why LeBron James will not be competing in the upcoming NBA slam dunk contest. He is probably the most entertaining, innovative and highly skilled player in the league, yet for some reason he was not selected to show off his mind-blowing moves in this popular contest.

28-year-old Chris Thomas just could not live with King James being left out of this competition so he started a campaign to raise 1 million dollars to be donated to the LeBron James Family Foundation. While the money will obviously be donated for a good cause, Thomas is literally trying to buy James a spot in the 2013 slam dunk contest.

Unfortunately, there are two factors that are contributing to Thomas not getting his way. For one thing, the foundation has only raised about 4,000 dollars as of now, and two, James has repeatedly stated that he does not wish to participate in the competition.

To make a donation, just head on over to http://www.gofundme.com/helplebrondunk.

Charities all over the world should take heed of Thomas’s strategy. LeBron has already said he’s not interested in granting his wish, yet the campaign has brought in thousands of dollars for James’ foundation.
