North Korea has its own basketball scoring system — who would’ve guessed? Usually when the country does something a little differently, thousands suffer for it.
However, this time around, it doesn’t seem like anyone is getting hurt. Here is how they score their basketball games:
1. Dunks are worth 3 points.
2. “Three-pointer” that don’t touch the rim — swishes — are counted as 4 points.
3. Baskets made within the last 3 minutes of the game are worth 8 points.
4. Every missed free throw is worth -1 points.
