An Indiana girls high school basketball team wins 107- 2 last night. When it comes to the game of basketball, blowouts are always an exciting possibility. Usually a 20+ point victory is a blowout. It’s considered to be very impressive if you see a team win by 30, 40, or 50 points.
Winning by 60 or 70 is just crazy. How about winning by 105?
Bloomington South High School beat Arlington High School 107-2 on Tuesday night. Arlington scored their two lone points on free throws in the second and third quarters.
After the game, a spokesman for the Indiana High School Athletic Association came out and said that a score like 107-2 obviously isn’t something that they like to see. But, at the same time, he also confirmed that the IHSAA doesn’t have any sort of mercy rule in place to prevent it from happening.
Not really sure about the sportsmanship in this game, but one hell of a performance from Bloomington South.
I’m just wondering why they didn’t lazily just run the clock after they were up by so much in the first half.
