Jared Allen is a man of valor. He has shown it during his time in Minnesota where was the NFL sack leader twice (2007, 2011) and has made the pro bowl five times. All while having a kick-ass mullet of course.

But something was different last season. He wasn’t rocking the awesome 80s haircut people love him for. Yes, the man who swore never to cut it until he dies, jumped the gun and shedded the locks for his wedding. A sad but noble cause indeed.

However subsequently as a result of this, we saw a slight dip in production and overall on-the-field swag. Something was clearly different and it was truly evident why. But just how much worse did he drop? Try 20 less tackles and ten less sacks. No bueno.

But now as the 31-year-old defensive end goes into the final year of his contract, he looks to bring back some of that edge had in year’s past. So what exactly did he opt to do? You guessed it. Bring back the wavy mullet!

Jared recently Tweeted a picture of him at the barber breaking the news that the do is coming back… for round two.

This is exactly what the game has been missing. As the new season approaches look for not only a 2500 yard season from Adrian Peterson, but the return of the wrangler and sack master — Jared Allen.
