Holy Sh*t! Someone Just Completed The First-Ever BMX Quad Backflip (Video)

by Adam Silvers

Back in 2011, BMX rider Jed Mildon landed a triple flip -- the biggest trick in BMX history at the time.

This past weekend, the New Zealand native took it to the next level by pulling off the first ever BMX quad backflip.

As you can see in the video above, Mildon went head to head with James Foster to become the first person to accomplish the feat, and both riders tasted repeated failure before Mildon eventually nailed the landing on four reverse rotations.

The amount of pain and anguish -- both physical and mental -- in the buildup to Mildon's success makes the accomplishment that much more impressive.

Congratulations, Jed.
