JK Rowling Perfectly Shuts Down A Serena Williams Hater On Twitter

by Robert Gordon

JK Rowling is most famous for bringing the world the "Harry Potter" series, but she's pretty damn magical on Twitter, as well.

Serena Williams, who may just be the most dominant athlete, male or female, of this generation, won her sixth Wimbledon title today by defeating Garbiñe Muguruza in straight sets.

To honor Serena, Rowling took to Twitter to congratulate her.

#SerenaSlam! I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman! — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 11, 2015

When someone has a Twitter following of nearly five million people, one is bound to receive a less-than-eloquent response from time to time. Twitter user @diegtristan8, who had a measly 81 followers at the time this was published, probably didn't expect JK Rowling to see or respond to this post:

@jk_rowling @hansmollman ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man — Rob (@diegtristan8) July 11, 2015

Rowling did, however, by laying the smackdown on him in fewer than 140 characters.

.@diegtristan8 "she is built like a man". Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You're an idiot. pic.twitter.com/BCvT10MYkI — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 11, 2015

Rock on, Ms. Rowling. You prove time and time again that you're awesome!
