Kobe Bryant Sits Again, Return Uncertain
When will Kobe Bryant play again? ”Just taking it one day at a time,” Lakers coach Mike Brown said Wednesday. “There’s no timetable.” Bryant is nursing soreness in his left shin, and the assessment is that he can bring the condition back if he plays too soon.
“He understands this is one of those things if he goes out too early, it can cancel everything we did up to this point,” Brown said of the medical treatment and rest Bryant has received while sitting out recent games in Phoenix, New Orleans and San Antonio.
The Lakers won without Bryant against the Spurs in a shocker, 98-84, behind Metta World Peace’s 26 points and Andrew Bynum’s 30 rebounds.
Next up for the Lakers is a Friday night home date with the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center, and it’s unknown if Bryant’s shin will allow him to play then. He is moving around more without the restrictive boot he had been wearing over his left leg lately,
