Lakers Are Pissed At Mark Cuban For His Comments About Kobe

Mark Cuban gave some controversial advice to the Lakers yesterday when he said that they should consider amnestying Kobe Bryant from the team.

The reason for this being his league-high $30.45 million next season, the last year of his contract.

LA didn’t take too kindly to his remarks. Lakers spokesman John Black made this statement.

“We’re aware of Mark Cuban’s comments and feel they are inappropriate.”

“As to the issue itself, we will not comment publicly on the amnesty issue as it relates to any of our players.”

Even Kobe himself chimed and kept it simple by saying,  ”I’ll bet he did” in regards to Cuban’s comment.

The Lakers payroll exceeds $100 million this season so it is likely they will amnesty a player, especially if they’re trying to keep Dwight. Among the candidates are Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace and Steve Blake.
