Lakers Steve Blake Out Three Weeks After Stepping On Metal Parking Lot Spike

Let me just say first: Ouch! Lakers backup guard Steve Blake will be out three weeks after puncturing his left foot stepping on those spike strips used to keep cars from exiting through the entrance of a parking lot.

What I really can’t wait to find out is exactly how this happened. How exactly do you step on one of those wearing cheap flip flops (or whatever happened)?

Three weeks means Blake will be a spectator for the first part of training camp. Great news Lakers fans, less Steve Blake means more Chris Duhon in the rotation… wait, did I say good news? Sorry about that. At least there is still Steve Nash.

NFL GM Thinks Johnny Football Will Be Better Than RGIII

There has never really been a player more electrifying than Johnny Manziel in college football. Tim Tebow may be the only exception, but we all know how he turned out in the next level. Not everyone who enjoys success in college sees the same results in the NFL. Part of this is due to a lack [...]

Meet New York Mets Pitching Phenom Zack Wheeler

6 innings. 5 K’s. 1 earned. 2 base on balls. That will be Zack Wheeler’s line tonight in his major league debut in Atlanta. If I’m right, I told ya so. If I’m wrong, it wouldn’t be the first time (and surely won’t be the last). The thing is, I don’t care. I’m on one. [...]

Nate Robinson Can Jump Through Doors (Video)

Nate Robinson is the chillest dude on the f*cking planet. There’s nothing that brings more of a smile to my face than when 5’9” former Slam Dunk Contest champs Vine themselves “jumping through the doors” of (by the looks of it) fast food restaurants. I don’t know what it is about this 7-second video, but [...]

Russell Westbrook Needs To Be Banned From Vine

Injuries are never fun. I don’t think that comes as a shocker to anyone (except when you would break a finger on your writing hand in middle school and would be assigned a scribe to write all of your class notes — that was fun). Last summer, I broke my ankle playing hoops at the [...]

Chicago Surgeon Accused Of Cutting Patient’s Throat For $160,000

A surgeon at Chicago’s Sacred Heart Hospital cut a hole in Earl Nattee’s throat on Jan. 3, the day before he died. It’s not clear why. The medical file contained no explanation of the need for the procedure, called a tracheotomy, according to a state and federal inspection report that quotes Sacred Heart’s chief nursing [...]

Watch This Hilarious Grandma Crushing It In Ibiza (Video)

A lot of grandmas enjoy dancing. Hell, when my grandma hears “Cotton Eyed Joe,” she can’t help but jump out of her walker and dance. But never have I seen a grandma dance quite like this. At what appears to be a beachfront in Ibiza, this Granny shows off her stuff while surrounded by hundreds [...]

Trend Alert: Everything New Is Blue

Hues of blue, like Cobalt and Aqua, are set to become a huge fashion trend this season. These blues are not moody, but daring. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for dresses, pants, tops, or accessories — blue is the color to be seen in. Throughout 2013, blue hues proved to be extremely popular on the [...]

The Average Household Net Worth Is Up For Americans, But Not For Gen-Y

Good news! America is out of the recession! The total wealth of the country has recovered! Everything is okay! Oh, what’s that? You’re a member of Generation Y? You don’t have millions of dollars invested in the stock market, but rather hundreds of thousands in student debt? I guess that initial statement doesn’t apply to [...]
