Kobe Bryant has received a lot of praise for racking up just as many assists as he does points as of late. Many believe that Kobe’s assists are helping him shed his reputation as a selfish-scorer who cares more about himself than the success of his team.
LeBron James, however, doesn’t think the assists mean anything. He’s convinced that Kobe is still his flashy old self and loves scoring points more than anything.
When asked about the change in Kobe’s playing, King James made it clear that he is not at all impressed.
“Do I buy that? No. He told you all before, he’s a scorer, he’s said it everyday – I’m a scorer, this is what I do. So I don’t buy the distr- no. You guys buy it though. I see how you are all Kobe 49 assists in 4 games, whatever, you guys go crazy about that. I don’t buy it though, he’s a scorer. He told you all that.”
It’s obvious that James isn’t a fan of Kobe’s assists because he doesn’t want anyone else to be known as the best “team player” in the league.
