Manti Te’o: ‘Lennay Came Out Of Her Fake Coma While On The Phone With Me’
Sports

In his first televised interview since the whole circus revolving around Manti’s fake ex-dead girlfriend opened its tent for business, Manti Te’o opens up to Katie Couric about the moment that imaginary Lennay Kekua came out of her comma.

“Obviously it was just breathing at first and it was one of those where she was just breathing and.. uhh… then she started to kinda whisper my name.”

According to this version of the story, someone else answered the phone and placed it next to Lennay’s head. Manti was talking himself to sleep when she suddenly started to come out of her “comma”.

“I jumped for joy, you know: ‘she’s out,’ ‘she’s talking…’ And I was like ‘see they were right, I do help her’.”

Here is a recording of a snippet of the interview. I don’t know whether to laugh my head off or cry for Manti. Or maybe just smack him in back of the head and tell him to get his shit together and stop talking to imaginary friends.

Don’t Hold Back: Why It’s Best To Voice Your Thoughts And Feelings

There’s a quote that appears in the most recent film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s ”Anna Karenina.” If you’re not familiar with the classic novel, I suggest reading it before you skip straight to the DVD. The star-studded cast (Keira Knightley, Jude Law) definitely doesn’t offset the two-hour weirdness, but I digress. The quote is as follows: […]
