Ah yes, the bench press. There is probably no greater measure to a man than how much weight he can thrust above his chest. And one man in particular has set himself above and beyond the rest by taking this simple exercise and making it his b*tch.

Meet Eric Spoto. Sure he looks like any typical meathead that you would find in the gym, but he just so happens to be an elite breed. Not only does he look like a character from the Gears of War video game franchise, but he has also accomplished what no man has before him — he put up a whopping 722-pounds on the bench. Now that’s weight! Not only that, but he makes it look too damn easy.

Just imagine how many Chipotle burritos this dude can eat. At least seven in one sitting. While this is a tremendous feat, we don’t really see that great of a benefit from being able to do this.

Do you really think that this guy is going to get that much more ass off of benching 700+? Well only he would know, but if we would have to guess, we would say hell no! Still an amazing milestone for any human, though. Congratulations Eric!

Why Being Jewish Doesn’t Mean I Must Support Everything Israel Does

One of the gifted items my congregation presented to me following my Bat Mitzvah was Alfred J Kolatch’s “The Jewish Book of Why.” This was an unsurprising gift, as an integral part of the Jewish religion is the pursuit of knowledge and, in doing so, questioning everything. With the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza, […]
