New York Rangers Legend Sean Avery Comes Out As Gay, Is Engaged To Another Man

It has been revealed today that former New York Rangers legend Sean Avery is a gay man who has actually been engaged to a boyfriend that he has been seeing for a year and a half now.

According to the gossip site TheFrameDriven.com, the 33-year-old ex-NHL star turned Vogue intern has been dating Andy Cohen, the creator of Bravo TV and  host of “Watch What Happens Live!

If this news is true (and it is), Sean Avery has just come out as the first NHL player, retired or active, to be openly gay. Yet another giant step forward for the community in professional sports. That is if it’s true. Which it is.
