Ray Allen Gets Video Tribute In Return To Boston [Video]

Ray Allen made his first return to the TD Garden since spurning the Celtics and signing with the Miami Heat during the offseason.

No surprise: he received plenty of boo’s, peppered in with a few cheers. But when the Celtics reeled out a tribute video thanking Ray for his five years in Boston, there was a unanimous appreciation.

This is a surprise with all of the controversy surrounding his departure and the apparent beef he was having with KG and some of the Celtics front office. But it was a classy move by the organization nonetheless.

In the end, Mr. Allen was unable to procure the much-desired win as the Celtics ended their six-game losing streak by defeating the Heat 100-98 in double-overtime. Check out the tribute video below.
