Redskins Players Knocked Out Of Game In Pregame Collision [Video]

The Redskins lost two players for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers in a freak pregame collision. Safety Brandon Meriweather ran into wide receiver Aldrick Robinson in the end zone while attempting to catch a pass about two hours before the game. Both players went down immediately and took some time to get up.

According to CSN Washington, Meriweather was down about five minutes, but it took Robinson about 10 minutes to get up as he was standing still when Meriweather ran into him.

Meriweather had missed the first three games of the season with a sprained MCL and was expected to see his first action of the season. Robinson had 1 catch for 12 yards in a Week 3 loss to the Bengals.

Between this freak accident and the ridiculous Josh Morgan blunder in Week 2, it’s been an odd first month of the season for the Redskins.
