The Ravens held their championship parade yesterday down a crowded Baltimore city street. The parade was turning out to be rather uneventful (despite the abundance of armed guards and fireworks) until running back Ray Rice fell off a float in front of a lucky group of devoted fans he was shaking hands with at the time.

Here’s how Ray described the incident on the Boomer and Carlton show:

You know, the float stopped short and I fell off of it, but I caught myself. I’m good though. I’m telling y’all that because y’all are my boys. Ray Rice has no injuries. I fell off the float, but I’m good.

[...]

I caught myself in the pushup position, got back up and said, “Let’s party.”

Oh, thank heaven he’s completely unharmed. Looks like Rice’s shocking fumble last Sunday wasn’t the last instance of him making a fool out of himself trying to look smooth.

This One Meme Sadly (But Perfectly) Describes The NFL This Season

What a season it’s been so far in the NFL. That’s not even taking into account any of the actual games played. The climate has shifted in recent years, but with the league’s two most recent abuse scandals, courtesy of Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson, it really puts everything else into perspective. Football is a […]

Mayweather Proves His Legacy After Taking Down Maidana And Challenging Pacquiao

Four months ago, Argentine boxer Marcos Maidana gave Floyd Mayweather the toughest fight Mayweather has experienced in years. Saturday was the rematch in Las Vegas, pitting boxing’s pound-for-pound king against the young challenger who battered him for rounds in May. It was a different fight with a different result. Mayweather danced around the ring at the MGM […]

How Bart Simpson Inspired A Generation Of Guys To Not Give A F*ck

Bart Simpson is the Plato to every young man’s Aristotle. He’s a teacher, one whose philosophies every boy became a student of, the first time we saw him pull out that slingshot, some time in the mid-90s. Whether it be his desire to rebel, the absence of a positive father figure in his life or […]

Steelers Fans Are Ready To Greet Johnny Manziel With Foam Middle Fingers (Photo)

Johnny Manziel won’t be starting for the Cleveland Browns week one matchup, which means he’ll have more time to reflect on his life (which is awesome, by the way). It’s a shame, though, considering all of the excitement he would have generated. Regardless, Steelers fans will be ready with these incredibly awesome “Welcome to Pittsburgh, […]

Passion Vs. Paycheck: The Real Difference Between A Job And A Career

Maybe it’s me, but I feel that both the words “job” and “career” come with a negative connotation – at least when it comes to our generation. Those in their 20s and 30s – the so-called Generation-Yers – are steering further and further away from what many would consider the reality of the American dream. […]
