Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III was fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing Adidas gear to his postgame press conference after Washington’s Week 14 win over the Ravens.
Griffin, who normally wears a suit to the postgame pressers, injured his right knee on a collision with Haloti Ngata of Baltimore during the game and chose to wear an Adidas sweatsuit instead.
Since Nike is the NFL’s official uniform supplier, the league deemed this a fineable offense.
Maybe next time he should come out with an American Flag draped over his shoulders, like Michael Jordan did back at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics Medal Ceremony.
This move was to prevent photographers from snapping a picture of him wearing a jacket with the Reebok logo.
