It's Official: Ronda Rousey Makes More Money Per Second Than Mayweather

by Adam Silvers

Yesterday, Ronda Rousey continued her ongoing beef with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. by saying she makes more money per second than Floyd, and he can text her to dispute that claim "when he learns to read and write."

Earlier today, Money Mayweather responded to Rousey's latest jab, reportedly saying,

Big bank take little bank. Let's play and see how much money you got. Last time I checked I was [number one] on Forbes. She will never be at my status. Keep trying to get publicity.

Well, Forbes has spoken, Floyd, and it looks like Ronda knew exactly what she was talking about.

According to an article just released by Forbes, not only is Ronda Rousey making more per second than Floyd Mayweather, but she's been doing so since before her recent bout with Bethe Correia.

You may be wondering how this is possible, especially since Mayweather's recent $300 million windfall is the most an athlete has ever earned in a year.

Basically, Rousey makes more per second than Mayweather because her fights are so much shorter.

According to Forbes, Rousey's $3 million in fight compensation breaks down to $100,000 per second, whereas Mayweather's $285 million per fight translates to $65,972 per second.

Who will take the next round in this epic fight?
