It’s summertime and while it’s great to finally kick back and relax, there’s something different, you can feel it in the air. Sure, you can head to the beach and admire surfer chicks all day, but what happens when you go home and try to unwind? You turn on the TV and what’s this? There’s no NFL Football or NBA Basketball anywhere to be found. Devastating.

What are we supposed to do? Watch baseball? I’d rather watch paint dry. However, luckily for us, there are action sports! And thanks to ESPN, who’ve been ramping up the coverage in recent years, we’re blessed with the almighty X Games. Nice.

While many of us may not even have a clue as to what’s going on, who doesn’t enjoy watching the skateboard street sessions or the epic big ramp air jump? If you say you don’t, that’s just about the most unpatriotic thing you can say this July.

Over the years, we have seen some truly memorable tricks performed by these dare devils. But then there are the truly death-defying stunts that can either kill you or pay big. Take a walk down the X Games Hall of Fame with us and remember these truly epic moments:

Danny Way gets big air

Colin McRae rolls a rally car

Shaun White gets his summer gold

Matt Hoffman’s no-hand 900

Kevin Robinson double flairs

Bob Burnquist’s 2001 vert run

Kid Proves Gravity Works In Horrific Attempt At A BMX Jump (Video)

The beloved children’s book “If You Give A Mouse a Cookie” is an elementary-level introduction to the butterfly effect that highlights the pitfalls of providing rodents with sugar-filled treats.
