It’s summertime and while it’s great to finally kick back and relax, there’s something different, you can feel it in the air. Sure, you can head to the beach and admire surfer chicks all day, but what happens when you go home and try to unwind? You turn on the TV and what’s this? There’s no NFL Football or NBA Basketball anywhere to be found. Devastating.

What are we supposed to do? Watch baseball? I’d rather watch paint dry. However, luckily for us, there are action sports! And thanks to ESPN, who’ve been ramping up the coverage in recent years, we’re blessed with the almighty X Games. Nice.

While many of us may not even have a clue as to what’s going on, who doesn’t enjoy watching the skateboard street sessions or the epic big ramp air jump? If you say you don’t, that’s just about the most unpatriotic thing you can say this July.

Over the years, we have seen some truly memorable tricks performed by these dare devils. But then there are the truly death-defying stunts that can either kill you or pay big. Take a walk down the X Games Hall of Fame with us and remember these truly epic moments:

Danny Way gets big air

Colin McRae rolls a rally car

Shaun White gets his summer gold

Matt Hoffman’s no-hand 900

Kevin Robinson double flairs

Bob Burnquist’s 2001 vert run

Julian has often been compared to cultural icon, The Rock, because of his unequivocal work ethic and warrior-like stature.

Why The Patriots Are Letting Tom Brady Down

If you’re Tom Brady, you have to be pissed right now, right? Over the past 18 months, the New England Patriots have done very little to put him in a position to win (a popular term down in Foxborough). In March 2013, the Patriots let Wes Welker walk in free agency. Not only did he […]

Jimmy Kimmel Proves That People At Fashion Week Are Full Of Sh*t (Video)

Today is the final day of the latest Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, which, based on my experience, involves a lot of people wearing suits made entirely of quilts from the Victorian Era and riding on the subway during rush hour. According to what I learned from “The Devil Wears Prada,” the shows held over […]

Less Is More: The Evolution Of The Work Desk Since The 80s Is Mind-Blowing (Video)

Technology has made our lives simpler, cleaner and faster. There’s no denying how much has changed since the days of clunky phones and Rolodexes. The team at Harvard Innovation Lab wanted a visual representation of the way apps and digital tools have completely revitalized the workspace. For “The Evolution of the Desk,” Harvard staff found […]

Tracy McGrady Shouldn’t Try To Make An NBA Comeback After Playing Baseball

Tracy McGrady is mulling a comeback. The sleepy-eyed, seven-time All-Star admitted to working out with Kobe Bryant in order to “see how (his) body feels.” McGrady’s graceful, lithe body allowed him to perform acrobatics reminiscent of Dr. J, but would be a source of frustration, as he struggled to stay healthy. This comeback would be […]
