The Golden State Warriors are enjoying quite a resurgence thanks to budding superstar point guard Stephen Curry. And while they look to make history in round two of their Western Conference semi-final match up against the San Antonio Spurs, they are receiving all kinds of love from the bay area.
In fact the Oakland-based team is looking to make the leap and move right in the middle of the city itself: San Francisco. Instead of being right next to the hood, it appears that they are being moved right next to AT&T Park which is truly prime real estate.
The first concept designs for the new arena, slated to be ready by 2017, have been released and it looks every bit of a championship-caliber arena as it should be. While it will seat 17,500, compared to Oracle Arena’s 19,596, it is a small sacrifice to pay to create one of the dopest venues in the league.
And you better believe that right next to the Silicon Valley, they will have the most advanced technology featured all over as we can’t imagine what they are planning to do with the space.
Hopefully by the time it’s done, Curry will still be on the squad as they can truly build something special in San Fran. Check out some of the concept images that have been released.
