Zach Randolph Says He Is Terrified Of Cats

Zach Randolph is 6’9’’, 260 lbs., and has to face the best and toughest basketball players in the world on a near nightly basis. He’s also afraid of cats.

And we’re not talking about the “Uh, I’d rather not have them near me” type of fear. ESPN Magazine’s Sam Alipour wrote, “…when he’s walking the streets of Memphis and a cat just so happens to cross his path, Mr. Randolph, one of the baddest dudes in the NBA, darn near runs for his life.” It’s that real.

Z-Bo explained himself by saying, “You can’t be both a dog lover and a cat lover. I’ve got a crazy phobia about cats. For some reason, I’m always thinking they’re going to scratch me. If a cat walks up, I’m going, “Oh no, this dude about to scratch me-I know it!”

Cats scare the hell out of me. I love animals, but I’m no cat lover. Guys usually aren’t.” True, except not liking cats and being outright scared of them are two different things.

This revelation brings up one question: What type of hell is Randolph going through when he’s facing the Charlotte Bobcats?

Was JR Smith Yayed Out Throughout The Entire NBA Playoffs?

Nobody ever said capturing the elusive O’Brien Trophy was an easy task. Having said that — blowing copious amounts of “snow” during the second round of the NBA Playoffs doesn’t make the quest for that “ice” (and basketball immortality) any easier. Everyone needs a “do-over” at some point. The other day, for example, as I [...]
