The Top 11 Travel Destinations For Singles Planning Their Next Vacation

by Jarone Ashkenazi

If you are considering taking on a trip alone, it is time to commit. Solo travel is the ultimate relaxation method and is delightfully self-indulgent.

Traveling solo allows you to experience the world without the influence of a friend or partner's tastes, prejudices, or preferences.

Doing what it is you want to do will likely lead to a voyage of self-discovery. It's the ideal opportunity to try something new, challenge yourself, explore new cultures and broaden your horizons.

You can selfishly plan every minute of your trip and not worry about the desires or interests of a travel companion as you solely are in charge. Planning is not a problem as do so however you want, and you don't have to worry about compromising and making sacrifices.

A recent Booking.com poll asked 15,000 people from 20 countries about solo travel. They found that one in three people are planning to travel solo for the first time in 2017. The poll also took advice from experienced solo travelers which included:

  • Secure accommodation in advance of arrival.
  • Carry your passport with you.
