Even After 62 Years, ‘I Love Lucy’ Is Still Spot On For Gen-Y Women

Sixty-two-years ago, Monday October 15, 1951, everyone’s beloved television sitcom, “I Love Lucy,” premiered at 9 p.m. on CBS. Starring Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance and William Frawley, the incredibly successful series ran for six seasons and is still one of the most celebrated television shows in history.

Her hilarious shenanigans and outrageous responses are pretty much identical to how we act even today. Here’s a tribute to Lucy and females everywhere, as told by our dear “I Love Lucy.”
