The 6 Easiest Beauty Hacks To Remember When You're Running Late In The Morning

by Fabiana Buontempo

For some of us, time management comes easy. For others, it's a bit of a struggle.

If you're like me, you're someone who falls in the grey area between being punctual and constantly running out of the house already 15 minutes late.

In other words, I'm someone who is almost always on time for work, but that same morning, I was probably running into my workout class four minutes after it already started.

Anyway, for those of you who end up oversleeping one morning, taking too long in the shower or just moving at a snail's pace in general, I'm here to help you out.

If you're crunched for time, and everything you normally do for your beauty routine seems to be going wrong, products you already own that have multiple uses can save you some time and frustration.

Here are the six beauty hacks you desperately need to know in your life when you're running late:

1. Your brow pencil is your new eyeliner.

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Rather than digging through your makeup bag for that tiny eyeliner pencil you always seem to lose, take your brow pencil and line your eyes for the perfect daytime look.

Brow pencils are lower in wax anyway, which means you'll get a longer wear out of the pencil, and they also work for a subtle smoky eye.

2. Take that shimmery, Champagne-colored eyeshadow to your cheekbones.

Bobbi Brown

After swiping that pretty, champagne-pink color across your lids, you can use the same shadow as a highlighter on top of your cheekbones for the perfect glow.

A little eyeshadow on your cheekbones goes a long way, as eyeshadows tend to be more pigmented than your typical highlighter.

3. Introduce your favorite tinted lip balm to your cheeks.

Benefit Cosmetics

As you know, tinted lip balms are super moisturizing and sheer, which translates into an amazing cream blush. Lightly swipe the balm with two fingers on the apples of your cheeks (where your usual blush goes), and you're all set.

4. Use eyeshadow to fill in sparse brows.

Urban Decay

If the tip of your Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil is no more, no need to fret. In desperate times (or if you're just feeling lazy), simply use a dark eyeshadow from the palette you probably already have out after doing your eyeshadow.

Dampen a small shadow brush and apply a small amount of shadow to the tip to easily fill in any sparse areas of your brows.

5. Your body lotion can double as a frizz tamer.

Moroccan Oil

Say your five-day-old hair is looking a bit like a rat's nest, and you have zero time to wash and blow it out.

What do you do? Grab that body lotion you just moisturized with and lightly run a small amount through the frizzy parts of your hair.

6. Invest in an all-in-one BB eye brightener.

bareMinerals

If you're willing to spend a little money on something that will certainly save you time in the long run, invest in an eye product that does it all. You've heard of BB creams. Now, meet BB eye brighteners.

These little magical wands double as an eye cream and a concealer to conceal, brighten, hydrate and prevent dark circles and those dreaded bags under your eyes.

So, my fellow running-late peers, I feel your pain and know how hard it is when your friends label you the least punctual person in your group. It sucks.

Although we might not ever be able to change our ways (that'll be a miracle), we can give these beauty product hacks a try and watch how we'll go from being 20 minutes late to... well, 10 minutes late.
