It's that time of year again, time for New Year's Resolutions. Everyone always makes resolutions to lose weight or to change their lives in some spectacular way, but many women let beauty and fashion resolutions fall to the wayside.
Here are five resolutions that you should make and follow in 2013:
Wear One Incredible Ensemble A Week
Everyone has their work or school uniform that they follow, and for most, it becomes a routine. A routine that puts you in a rut. Regardless of how dark it is in the morning or how tired you are, set aside one above and beyond outfit to wear each week.
Dressing to the nines makes you feel better, more motivated, and who doesn't love receiving compliments from everyone in love with your spectacular outfit? Use the way you dress as a means to motivate you in 2013.
Wash Your Makeup Off Before Bed
Every woman has been guilty of falling asleep prior to washing her makeup off on multiple occasions, I'm sure and this is something we need to stop doing in 2013. Have better and brighter skin by clearing out your pores, exfoliating, and moisturizing when you're supposed to in 2013.
Take Care of What You Have
Take care of what you already own in 2013. Pay closer attention to the washing instructions on your clothing (especially your higher end pieces) and be sure to use your makeup sparingly. Taking care of what you own will get more use out of said products, which will extend the life span of your favorite items.
Make Wise Fashion Investments
Instead of purchasing a bunch of cheaper items that you're only going to wear once, start investing in serious investment pieces. Classic items that will last in your closet for years and keep you looking elegant, high class and sophisticated.
Take Risks, Frequently
Stop hiding behind the usual. Dare to wear a bold lip when you haven't before, try a new trend that doesn't fit into your usual regime and dress over the top to a casual event. Taking fashion and beauty risks are a great way to boost your confidence and make you see that standing out truly is the way to go.
Hopefully these resolutions are on your list of resolutions to be made, and hopefully these confidence boosters will carry over into other aspects of your life.
