Broke But Beautiful: The Most Expensive Cities For Women's Haircuts
It's no secret that living in New York City is significantly more expensive than most other cities. Chicago might have a high sales tax, but NYC is definitely up there when it comes to basic needs, like food and shelter.
And here's a new one to add to the list of overpriced items you can find in NYC: women's haircuts.
Apparently, vanity knows no price when it comes to styling hair.
The folks behind Square, a mobile device-based point of sale system, released findings that showed the average price for a woman's haircut in NYC is a whopping $73! (Click To Enlarge):

While that's only two dollars more than runner-up city, San Francisco, New Yorkers can hold on to one small shred of hope because the average price for a male's haircut in SF is noticeably greater than NYC's: $49 compared to the Big Apple's $37.
Hmm, perhaps Jennifer Lawrence was onto something with her pixie cut? How much is too much to spend on a haircut?
