It’s sad to say, but I think that the accent nail trend is on it’s way out. Textured nails have been the nail art of choice recently, and this newest trend is about to take off, thanks to our friend Alexa Chung.
So how do you achieve the leather effect? With “leather” polish of course.
This polish comes in a $25 set from Sephora. The set includes the leather effect polish and various different studs and rhinestones you can glue onto your nails as an after accent. The texture dries to leather like rough texture and is definitely unique.
Good luck finding this polish though. After Alexa donned this manicure and let everyone know what brand of polish she was wearing, the waitlist soared to around 1,000 customers.
