That's right. Lead. As a devout lipstick wearer, this next study has me cringing. A new study conducted by Underwriters Laboratories has found that 55 percent of lipsticks contain trace amounts of lead.
Thankfully, beauty companies are not intentionally trying to poison us. Apparently, scientists say that the additives that go into makeup are mineral-based, which contains natural trace amounts of lead.
