Bondage Leads To A Happier Life

Bondage and bondage fantasies are in no way a new sexual concept, but it’s recently been glorified by last year’s 50 Shades of Grey obsession. Women (and men) everywhere suddenly got super excited by the idea of tying up their partner and it’s social acceptance soared.

Whether the 50 Shades book series is completely responsible for this phenomenon or not (it totally is), there’s no denying that bondage is experiencing it’s “moment” and is making a positive impact on us all. According to new research, couples who now partake in bondage are typically happier and mentally healthier than those who have tamer sex lives.

Dutch researchers asked over 900 bondage sex aficionados and over 400 people who were into tamer sex questions about their relationships and personalities. Overwhelmingly, those who were into getting tied up, being dominated, etc, were happier, more outgoing, less anxious, less sensitive to rejection and less worried about other people’s opinions of them.

S&M lovers also said that they felt more secure in their relationships, which I understand. If you’re able to completely let loose with your partner and allow them to tie you up and smack you around a little (in a good way of course), you should be comfortable doing anything.

Those who are confident and willing to experiment in bed are definitely confident and outgoing in other aspects of their lives and, honestly, those traits can only lead to a life of happiness. Next time you’re in the bedroom with your partner, try something new and outgoing -- it may change your entire outlook on life.
