Comic Perfectly Captures How Feminism Is Actually Great For Everyone

by Emily Arata

Feminism is not simply a label. It's the way you talk about women's bodies every day and the negative words that make it seem like being a woman is shameful.

Japanese comic artist Rasenth believes feminism is for everyone, and he's ready to explain why.

When Elliot Rodger went on a killing spree in California last spring in revenge for the women who'd always ignored him, Rasenth felt angry. Women are not simply accessories, obligated to acknowledge and engage every man.

Rasenth told the Huffington Post,

The comments he made about women, I thought, were very common complaints lodged against women that people say and think [every day] and yet these feelings led up to murder. I just wanted people to notice how our unconscious double standards are hurting ourselves and each other.

The artist put pencil to paper and explained feminism once and for all.

Each and every one of us is responsible for personally ending gender discrimination.
