Last night was the 39th Annual People’s Choice Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The awards show, which was hosted by Kaley Cuoco, honored the best in pop culture in 2012.

The People’s Choice awards are a less formal awards ceremony. The fans choose their favorites, and the vibe of the event is fun and whimsical. This shows in the ensemble choices of those in attendance.

Celebrities are able to play with their looks more, and choose bolder ensembles. I wasn’t blown away by many of those walking the red carpet, but here are my top five best-dressed picks:

Rachael Leigh Cook in Oliver Tolentino

Naomi Watts in Alexander McQueen

Emma Watson in Peter Pilotto

Ellen Pompeo in Lanvin

Taylor Swift in Ralph Lauren

Which one of these ladies was your favorite?

It’s barely noon on a Monday and already I’ve annoyed three people, forgotten two important items at home and completely ruined one very expensive blouse that I was totally planning on re-wearing later in the week. All I can say is “standard” because that’s usually how it goes in a life that’s anything but perfect. For […]

How Music Is Living On Borrowed Time In The Eyes Of The Consumers

Before we get started, I have to admit to at least a small amount of hyperbole here. To say that music as an art form is dead, dying or even “on borrowed time” is to suggest that a method of expression nearly as old as humankind is going to go away overnight. That couldn’t be […]

The 22 Signs You Are Addicted To A Book

“Books are the ultimate Dumpees: put them down and they’ll wait for you forever; pay attention to them and they always love you back.” — John Green When was the last time you read a book? I don’t mean “got through” or “skimmed,” but actually finished a book you enjoyed? When’s the last time you […]
