Another week has passed and this one was just as overwhelming as the past few have been in the fashion world. London Fashion Week was this past week and the collections were all completely beautiful, but of course, runway shows were not the only events taking place.

Surprisingly, the majority of my best-dressed picks were not London Fashion Week street style picks or of celebrities who attended the shows. This week was filled with diplomatic events, movie premieres and lavish parties, it was overwhelming to narrow down five picks.

Kate Middleton in Temperley London

Following a horrible and unjust scandal, the Duchess of Cambridge kept her head held up high and a smile on her face at the British High Commission tea party in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, while on the South-East Asian Diamond Jubilee Tour. This Temperley London ensemble has the most beautiful detailing on sheer fabric covering a pale blue dress.

Emma Watson in Brood

Known for her fashion risks, Emma nailed it in this Brood Fall 2012 high collared, one shoulder detailed, button down, and peplum dress worn during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon. The dress has so much going on, but it works.

Leighton Meester in Giambattista Valli

The Gossip Girl star has been branching out to films recently, and this past week she was spotted during the screening of her new film ‘The Oranges’. The Giambattista Valli dress is beautifully made and gives Leighton curves, in a good way. She accessorized it well with leopard pumps and a wide gold belt.

Olivia Palermo in Free People

Olivia Palermo has been spotted in Free People an awful lot lately, and I can’t say that I’m one bit upset about it. Not only does she let people know it’s okay to wear lower end items, she completely rocks it.

Camilla Belle in Michael Kors

Camilla Belle can do no wrong, I’m almost certain of that. She gets my best dressed pick of the week in this Michael Kors Resort 2013 gold lace dress that she wore to a Michael Kors launch party in New York City. Her makeup gives her a regal look and the turquoise clutch adds that perfect pop of color that the dress needed.

How do you feel about my best dressed picks?

5 Fall Fashion Trends That Make You Less #Basic

We’ve all seen the memes that describe what makes a girl #basic. There’s something about the fall that leads 20-somethings to rejoice with their pumpkin spice lattes, North Face jackets, leggings and Ugg boots. I mean, it wouldn’t be a stereotype if it weren’t at least slightly true! Trust me, ladies; I am not judging. […]

Woman’s Death Star Dress Is The Perfect Halloween Costume For ‘Star Wars’ Nerds (Photo)

The Edmonton Expo, a comic and entertainment convention in Edmonton, Canada, was held this past week. Traditionally, visitors dress up in costumes representing their favorite characters, comics or stories. Undiscovered Photography was at the Expo, taking photos of the coolest costumes they spotted on showgoers. They spotted one chick who’d make any “Star Wars” nerd weak […]

7 Of The Best Fashion Instagrams You Probably Haven’t Heard Of

We Wore What blogger, Danielle Bernstein, lays it out best: “What should be the easiest part of everyone’s day is sometimes the hardest.” Ladies, we can all agree that deciding what to wear during our morning rush is by far the most challenging decision we will have to make all day. Choosing an outfit is […]

How Wanderlust Makes Us Consume Authenticity Rather Than Experience It

Have you ever happened upon a place that just oozed authenticity? A restaurant tucked away in an older part of town where the food seems like it’s the same it’s always been, or maybe an independent bookseller where the proprietor (yes, he or she definitely calls him or herself a proprietor) knows just what book […]

Earth’s Population Could Possibly Reach 12 Billion People By 2100

A research team from the University of Washington has predicted Earth’s population to exceed 12 billion by the year 2100. Statistician and sociologist Adrian Raftery and his 13-member crew arrived to their conclusion after analyzing UN data regarding rates of fertility, death, migration and aging. The results yielded significant uncertainty on many levels, saying we […]

These Bent iPhone 6 Advertisements Are Way Too Perfect (Photos)

As everyone well knows by now, #BendGate is a thing. Those who shelled out upward of $600 on a new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus unfortunately have to deal with the fact that their precious and expensive new piece of technology is bendable. Lance Stephenson’s Bobby Shmurda Remix Now Has An Equally Ridiculous Music Video

Lance Stephenson has done it. Just under a month after Stephenson released audio of himself freestyling over Bobby Shmurda’s hit single, “Hot N*gga,” the Charlotte Hornets guard followed up with an official video for the remix. Stephenson, who will play out the first year of his contract with Charlotte this upcoming season, was shot working […]

Seeing A High Jump Bar Next To A Basketball Rim Shows How Insanely High It Really Is

Track and field athletes don’t get enough credit. And sadly, they probably never will… but that doesn’t mean they don’t have some mad talent. This photo of Qatar high jumper Mutaz Essa Barshim clearing the bar at an incredible 2.43 meters shows just how much air these guys are getting during competitions. Juxtaposed next to a 10-foot […]
