Elizabeth and James Launches First Bag Line

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen turned in their acting dreams to pursue dreams of fashion and have been absolutely killing it. Their three lines do superbly well and the sky is only the limit for this fashionable duo.

Their more affordable high-end brand, Elizabeth and James, hit a milestone this week, by debuting their first handbag collection in their West Village Showroom.

The line is expansive, including satchels, shoppers, messenger bags, backpacks, hobo bags, cross-body bags, clutches, pouches and wallets. The collection is the product of 18 months of designing.

“We’ve always wanted to do handbags, but we really wanted to understand the market first and what was missing from the market and what’s already existing on the market.” Said Ashley.

“We wanted the price point to be strong. The price point is below Wang and Lim but above Marc Jacobs and Tory Burch.”

Depending on what material is used on the bag, the price range ranges from $125 to $395 for small leather goods and $395 to $625 for bags.
