Fashion Inspired By: Lauren Bacall

As I’ve reiterated thousands of times before, (in reality it’s probably like ten times but you know what I mean) you should always draw inspiration from the classic beauties of years past.

Especially if you’re looking for a classic, feminine and sophisticated look. One of my favorite big screen stars of the early 1900s, Lauren Bacall, embodies all three of those characteristics. Lauren Bacall, for those of you who are unfamiliar with the name, was an American film and stage actress and model, who’s sex appeal and beauty ruled the silver screen between the 40s and 50s.

Not only was she a Queen Bee herself, Bacall was married to one of the greatest film actors of all time, Humphrey Bogart. What’s more Elite than that?

Lauren Bacall became a fashion icon, and remains one today. Her looks are all about lady like dresses, structured coats, Mary Jane heels, tons of tweed, and always making sure that there isn’t a hair out of place prior to stepping out of the house.

Would you dress like Lauren Bacall?
