Fearless Fashion: Mixing Prints

Believe it or not, one of the biggest mistakes someone can make while getting dressed, is to match too much. Matching exact colors and prints is something that is no longer in style, and unfortunately a lot of people are fearful to break away from what used to be the norm.

If you're new to mixing prints, it may be easiest to start small. Combine two different, yet similar prints, such as two different polka dotted  pieces. These prints are obviously similar, seeing as they're both polka dots, but using a large polka dot print with a small polka dot print makes the wearer stand out.

Once you've become comfortable with that, try adding an accent piece in a different print. A printed bag or pair of heels is a great way to subtly mix it up.

The bravest dressers out there can boldly wear two completely different pieces with no remorse. Don't be shy, and try this trend tomorrow morning. Anything can look good on anyone, as long as you wear it with confidence.
