You may remember that time that John Galliano got shunned by the entire fashion industry following his discriminatory slurs, because honestly, how could you forget? After some time off though, it seems as if Galliano is attempting to make a come back.
It has been reported that Oscar de la Renta has invited John Galliano to “spend some time with him in his studio over the next three weeks.” De la Renta believes in second chances and was happy to offer this opportunity to Galliano, to give him the chance to “reimmerse himself in the world of fashion and reacclimate in an environment where he has been so creative.”
How nice of de la Renta to give him a shot, but does Galliano deserve it? Well, it’s been two years since the anti-Semitic claims were made, 6,000 Euros worth of fines have been paid, he’s spent time in an Arizona rehab and has made several public apologies.
